92 3vzfe starter grinding on startup
So once in a while my starter doesn't engage and it grinds the gear. Im looking to replace it and read some stuff while googling the part. It was mentioned that the oem starter design was poorly designed and the starter gear placement would actually cause excessive wear on the ring gear. Also read that future models of the starter should have a different gear on it to remedy this problem. Now here's my question... How would I know whether or not the new oem/remanufactured starter has this problem fixed or not? Would hate to buy a new starter just to have the same problem resurface in the future....
