The knock sensor wire is very delicate and needs to be shielded. How did you splice them together?

^^ Ditto

I've never opened up the harness but I beleive its shielded wire. That is, the inner core is insulated by a wire jacket (like a coaxial TV cable) which are grounded at both ends to reject noise from the outside. If the ground is compromised, the sheild is ineffective. So either you lost the ground or the connection is bad.

Why did you move it out from under the intake?

Then again maybe you added too much "spice"!!
". . . with both wires spiced . . . ."

Yes. It's shielded. I spliced mine together incorrectly, and that fried my ECU.

So fix that shit.

Flex, can you comment on how you made your own wire, or how to solder the original wire? I need to fix mine.

Thanks

Hmmm. It seems like you could just get a length of regular wire, splice that to the connecter AND computer. Then then shield it.
