3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I picked up some dual piston front calipers this weekend and plan to install 13" rotors up front. Does anyone have specifications for the adapter to install the Supra Turbo rotors?
Maybe a drawing with final demensions, angles, any of that? A real example I could borrow to replicate? At a glance it looks like moving the caliper straight out 0.95" would feasibly do the trick but I need to get the rotors and do a mockup and see how it all fits.
Are these the correct rotors?

Overall Height; 1.953
Nominal Thickness; 1.18 Bendix PN: PRT1855/PRT1856
Doesn't matter. He doesn't have any as of this post. I still need a blue print/drawing! Anyone?
1995 V6 1MZ w/ABS 2 piston calip from a 95 Avlon.
Camry has the same PN's for Calipers, hardware bolt/pins, & bushing kits. Other than the core, Bendix lists the caliper w/the bracket if you get a loaded caliper. Semi loaded w/pads only do not have the hanger.
Bendix:
PN L46791 = Left loaded with OEM ceramic pads
PN L46790 = Right loaded with OEM ceramic pads
PN H15053 = bolt / pin
PN H16086 = bushing kit

Done, check your IB.
I sketched up some drawings, trying to get them to the fab shop for a basic quote. >> I'll yank the rotors off and get some better deminsions this weekned. At a guess, it'll be $300 bucker min for the 1st set if I give them a decent drawing. Prolly use Solidworks or something. These guys like 3D stuff.
Anyone have some good close pictures of these installed?
^ Rob has pics.... somewhere. Do realize that they go for sale new/used for about $150-200 a pair. Look around TN and SG. But i'm sure you have.

Dratts - I was hopping the front rotors would make till fall when I had more time but the rotors are TOAST! A 60mph brake application makes the steering wheel shake ever so slightly. . .
Both front rotors have a black band through the center section and are riddled with hard spots. They've been on there since I bought the car in 2005 and I've never turned them. I'm thinking they served me well. . . .
Need to get the adpaters made at the machine shop, but all I have as of this writing is a sketch of what I think I need.

After I took back the basic ground rotors and suffered a loss, I thought I'd try and at least get some slotted rotors as the larger diameter increases the disc speed through the pads and the slots will allow the pads to out gas if over it occurs.
Here are some links and prices as of today!
If you know of a "Deal somewhere" please PM me or drop a note.

Anyone ever bought from this seller, used the product or KNOW who made the material he's selling?
Prices look good and countless questions (like above) all over the net. . . almost 50/50 so I'm hesitant to buy. . .
If you decide to get them keep us posted on how they perform. I'm going to need to replace my rotors and pads in maybe 6 months, and by then you will probably know if the rotors are or .
Maybe you could order some brake pads and report on them too.
Thats an additional 10lbs of rotational mass to accelerate/decelerate! Maybe cross drilling will lighten them 1/2 lb!
to be honest with ya, unless your going to be doing a lot of high speed stops, say if you has a supercharger or something, then id suggest this upgrade. but you can get a MUCH better brake feel over stock by simply installing SS brake lines, EBC pads (hawks are good too) and some high temp brake fluid. the extra size of the supras looks and cools better thats about it. if Adam figures out his little idea about calipers, i might jsut go back to stock myself and loos teh 10 extra pounds.
