Is it easy to install a radio antenna for Camry 94 LE?
My original one was never there when I purchased the car in 2002. What is left is just a broken of stub protruding out.
I replaced the antenna mast on mine, it was not that hard at all. I cleaned out all the old grease and re-packed it, works great. As long as the unit still tries to move and the motor is not fried you're good to go. But I like to keep thinks 100% stock, not everyone cares about that.
The S2000 conversion is great, looks nice and is easy to do. Go with that if you don't feel like repairing the original.

You can find an antenna mast at NAPA or ebay...I repaired mine when I first bought the coupe, as it didn't work, as many do not.
It would work for a couple of months then stop again, and I'd repair it again, and again, and finally. I said to myself screw it and did the S2000 conversion, hasn't broken since.

I fully expect mine to break again at some point. I have a spare unit just in case. Every few car washes I put a light oil on the mast it keeps it from seizing up. If you don't do this, it will eventually stop moving. What a terrible design, who's idea was it anyway?

Yep. But I don't keep everything bone stock. I'm going to toss the original stereo. Well with a nicer Toyota unit, so it's kinda stock.
Check out the thread eyeball posted. It's not a toyota kit. It's a bit of toyota parts and the antenna from a Honda S2000 sports car.
