Angry Another blip in my lawsuit, any tips?

Its been a while since I recapped on this...basically the hit and run accident from back in January.

Since then, I did replace the bent strut with KYB's, and did both of them...which took care of the main part. But the damage has yet to be repaired.

So here I am left with 2 doors that cant be opened. Recall, his insurance company denied because they took his statement he was not driving (Horeshit!). My insurance was just liabilty.

My court date was last weekend and I arrived late, and it was dismissed. I refiled, and I asked the clerk if he showed up. Guess what, he didnt even show up either!

This whole thing has me just hopeless. I posted on law forums, but barely any answers. I cant get an attorney because I wasn't taken to the hospital after the accident and therefore they aren't interested in soley property damage (lesson learned, always ACT hurt when in an accident, cause the pain shows up later!)

Im down to $1,999 in repairs. Is it worth jusy repairing myself? Should I keep trying to pursue this in court or just write it off and deal with it myself? Even after I win a judgement, I still have to wait 30 days to file a writ of execution which would force wage garnishment

Anyone been in this situation (or not) would be glad to hear some input

You didn't call police to the accident?

So how important was this to you anyway?

Your best chance, and one that may be lost on the refile.

Yes you can, you just need to pay one.

So, because you can't accept responsibility for your own mistakes your advice is to commit insurance fraud so all our rates will go up?

Consider yourself lucky, in my State it is almost impossible to get a judgement paid. 30 days is minimum for the other party to file an appeal, maybe he had an excuse for not showing up too.

Small claims is your best solution, but you need to show up.

What he says^^^

Sounds like has been mishandled from the start, tough lesson but time to take your lumps I'm afraid.

Spending $2k to fix it is absurd and I'll venture that if you did collect $2k it would go in your pocket.
Want parts? I've a straight, rust free complete car you can have for $600. Chances are I'm not close enough to make this worthwhile but there are better solutions and lots of cheap used parts(or aftermarket garbage if you REALLY want to suffer) if you really want your car fixed versus chasing some deadbeat for an uncollectible judgement.
