My Caliper stuck or OK?

Just change the brake pad and rotor last weekend, after road test, some smoke coming from my driver side. I took another look today and it seems OK. Driver side bottom sliding pin is bit rust but I cleaned it and apply the high-temp lube.

Take a video here. Anyone can tell me if the caliper is stuck or not if the wheel turns like that when shift to N?

Thanks

seems normal, its not going to spin freely like the rear wheels due to the fact you are turning the differential and the other wheel.

did you clean the oil off the rotor first?

after installing new pads and reinstalling the caliper, i like to slide the caliper back and forth on the pins before i pump the brakes up, just to make sure it slides freely.

does it pull to one side if you brake hard?

No,I don't think so. Maybe need another road test.

I clean the disc up by brake cleaner but I think I still left some on it during the installation.

Pin was rusted but after clean and lube, it still move freely. I was thinking about to change the pin and bracket.. But no parts shop in Canada will sell caliper bracket... They go the whole thing and ask for at least $70 plus tax. Maybe next time when I find leak, I can replace the whole caliper include that part.

Thank you!

Looks fine. If it was stuck you'd be grabbing it with both hands and need a camera man!

Here's the test; {{ NOT to be done after continious hard braking}} On a long flat road, cruise for ten minutes and coast to a stop. Slowly and carefully begin feeling the wheel, hub and move you hands in closer to rotor if safe. If the caliper is free the rotor temperature will be cool to the touch. If the caliper is stuck or dragging you'll burn your hands. Be careful! Obviously some wheels make this easy and others do not. But if the hub is burning after cruising, you can bet the cailpers are not moving as they should.

i concur with everyone else. if the pins are slidling freely, well lubed and you were able to compress the caliper for the new brake pads, then evnerything is fine. in the video, the spinning effort is normal. the smoke/smell was probably because of the new parts and leftover residue. you would know if the caliper was seizing when you drive and stop the car - you would either feel resistance when you accelerated or it would pull when you slow down.
