1994 Camry V6 XLE TuneUp

Ok. I have the 1994 Camry XLE V6 and I wonder if their is an easy way to change the 3 plugs in the rear? Is it possible to change these plugs with a universal socket extension or do you have to take the manifold off? Why did Toyota have to make it so difficult.

Any suggestions welcome. Mark...

Some say that you can take a 6 inch socket and can manage to squeeze in underneath the manifold. But be warned, you will be doing it solely by touch, and cross threading is a real issue.

Can you actually put your hand on the connection where each of the 3 spark plugs are located under the manifold? As with most cars the spark plug has a wire that connects to it, so basically I would have to remove the wire by feel, then the plug and replace it, and then reattach the wire. Correct?

There was a thread that said you could by feel reach in behind the intake manifold and change the plugs without having to remove the wiring harness and manifold. But be advised you will be doing it by touch alone.

I will try to dig up the thread tomorow for you, i just got off a long shift and my mind isnt working correctly.

But yes you are correct it would all be by feel

In the procedure - step 3 when it tells you to attach the 2nd 6" extension to the 1st 6" extension how is that done? With what type of adapter or fitting?

Hope this makes sense.
