Thanks, was waiting for a deal on a 3/8" drive. Actually went to HF web site earlier today (Sat) and found no listings of torque wrenches at all (guess they were updating info for this sale).
not worth it to buy cheap tools, especially specialty tools.
If you're a professional mechanic, then I agree.
However, if you only need to use it once or twice a month, or a few times a year, why spend big bucks for it? I have HFT(Chicago Tools) 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4" torque wrenches. The 1/2" is about 7 years old, and the 3/8", and 1/4" are about 6 years old. All still work like new, and each was less than $20. Thanks to HFT, I have 3 torque wrenches that will cover every nut/bolt I'll ever need to torque for a fraction of what one name brand torque wrench would cost. Well worth it IMO.

These wrenches from Harbor Freight are great for automotive use where most tolerances are not so critical. Maybe for transmission work you may want to find a more precise tool but how many of us will break down a trans? I live in Hawaii and even w/ the extra shipping charges (no ground ship) these are well worth the price.
