How-to/documentation: Under-door lighting

First post here as a long-time follower of the forum. I've been working on my '98 XLE for a couple of years now and the most recent of my modifications is one I actually haven't seen documented on this forum or really anywhere. Maybe I'm blind, maybe I'm crazy, but I stuck LED strips to the undersides of my doors to illuminate the ground at night when you open the door.

The LED's hook up to the momentary switches - door sensors - on their respective doors and a 12v source from the battery. In the writeup that follows, I assume that you know how to, or know sources for obtaining the knowledge to, remove door panels and the trim on the inside under the doors. If you need that info, the DIY sticky has links to threads that discuss these things. I also assume that you have a working knowledge of electronics and LED's and have the previously mentioned 12v positive lead from the battery inside the car already - I wired a 60A 12V line from battery to trunk while installing my car computer and 120VAC adapter.

Anyway, without further ado, here's the writeup on my blog. Any comments either here or on that site are welcome, and editing will likely occur as the need arises.

Cool! I actually wired and put mine under the car, but there looks good too! It actually follows the door itself which is neat!
