has anybody replaced their clutch on their 1mz ?

hey sorry guys its me again.

i need to replace my clutch but i honestly don't have much money so i really don't want to take it to a shop for labor. (i will if i have to)

i was just wondering if anybody has replaced the clutch on the 1mz ? i was lookin thru the haynes manual and it seems so complicated. it says that we even have to drain the engine oil ?? and drop the subframe.... -sigh-

anyone have any advice or any guides that yuu guys go with when yuu do the clutch ?

This is a good question, I hope one of the more experienced guys can help out with this (since I want to replace my clutch and flywheel before I start building my turbo).

you dont need to drain the engine oil had mine changed 3 times never drained, tranny yes engine no.

it easiest to remove and do everything by dropping the sub frame, just get jack stands to hold it up.

leave the engine in the car support it with a 2x4 across the top and some chains

remove the axles including the rear jack shaft, unhook everything from the tranny unbolt and yay!

you can remove it from the top if you have too, it takes long and there more to remove, basically dont drop the sub frame but do everything i listed plus remove the hood and everything over the transmission
