3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hello everyone, this is my first post since I joined about a month ago.
I am the proud owner of a '95 Platinum Metallic LE 5S-FE with 110K original miles. I can't belieive I didn't buy a Toyota years ago.
So, on to my venting. During the install of my A/C Condenser, I accidently leaned on the passenger side cheap depo headlight that was put in when the original owner who I bought it from had the front end replaced due to an accident and broke one of the adjusters that I tried to fix, and was unsuccessful. So now a piece of cardboard holds it in place, and it is still out of adjustment.
Today, my girlfriend and I took a trip up to Maryland from Northern VA to a local MD chain of junkyards called Crazy Ray's (BigBird might know what I'm talking about) in search of a set of 95-96 headlights and corner lights that I planned to snag out of a 92-94 to match my clear bumper lenses. They have parts at set prices, so $25 bucks didn't sound like a bad deal for 2 complete headlights with corner lights.
We searched the entire yard and EVERY camry had the headlights taken out of them. I didn't know they were like gold.
Anyway, that's it.
Again, I love this forum and I have already found tons of info on my car.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to write the how-to's and shares information with all of us. I really appreciate it!
Thanks for the links, but they are for 92-94 headlights. I need the 95-96 (3.5 headlights.) I planned on buying another set of headlights from Ebay, but I was thinking of these:
Yes, I know they are cheap depos, but I'll try not to lean on this set.

Depo is not necessarily cheap, however, you need to be careful not to lean on things when working in your engine bay. I have those Depo's in the pic you posted but the ones I have are the clear ones, while those look like they are the black Depo's. They don't emit light as good as they should, but they look hella nice on the Camry. If you live in a City as I do, light is not really an issue. If you're in the boonies, you might want to purchase regular headlights and not these Depo Clear lights. If you do, you might want to use the 9005 high beams in the low beam socket (by shaving out the 2 notches) so it emits more light (check the DIY in the FAQ).

The regular headlights emit just about as much light as the DEPO's do. The only way you'll get more light is either use HIR bulbs or switch to HID after a proper retrofit.

Not mine... I had to use the 9005 in the low beams to get enough light. They definitely don't emit as much light as regular HL's
