I think my Camry is KIA

Well, here it go's. losing oil and water, i have no leaks on the ground. However the car does not smoke nor is there any oil in the coolant. I changed my water pump yesterday and then while driving it today I heard knocking only to find out i had no oil in the car, I went to autozone and picked up oil and some honey oil treatment. I checked my oil just like 4 days ago and it was full.
does anyone know a website or shop in phoenix az with reasonable pricing on a rebuilt 2.2 engine? My cousin got a rebuilt engine for no more $700 for a Saturn.

BTW the engine stopped knocking once i put oil back in it, however i think i hurt the bearings enough to permanently damage the engine.

i dont think there is anyone here in the phenoix area. your best bet is to find one at a scrap yard that appears to have been totaled for non engine related reasons, liek a rear end collision, then get the motor from that car.

Give ebay a look. Try Craigslist. And if need be, call up junkyards in SoCal.

that sucks ... did it start burning oil & coolant recently or it was doing it for some time now ?
sounds like a blown head gasket to me. but i'm not a real mechanic (just a hobbyist here), so can't judge based on that. just i had one car ('90 ford probe from hell) in past that was showing exact same symptoms, i could drive that car on motor oil if fuel tank was getting empty LOL

yeah it does suck, i put alot of money into it just recently and come to find this out.Im not sure if its a blown head, im guessing the rings are bad and oil is burning up and i possibly think its starting to show signs of a head gasket i bought the car for 2000 with my tax return, when i went to see the car, it didn't smoke nor knock so i was sure the car was in good condition, i never abused it, changed the oil when needed, plus after i bought it i noticed the front seal was leaking, so i put a 1000 into it soon after i bought it.
whats weird about it is, the car never lost coolant before i took it to the shop for repairs, they had the car in the shop for 2 weeks just to fix some front end seals, then they changed the cam shaft because who ever had it before damaged it. This is why everyone should learn to repair their own car but i cant say for sure if this is the shops fault.

You would be better off rebuilding your current engine... i had to replace my 2.2 engine last September and it took me till Feb. to find a boneyard that even had one. Then when i found one, it came with a $1200 price tag because there so hard to find.
