In Park, Front or Rear Wheel locked?

When in Park, is it the front or rear wheels that are locked?
Camry 94 LE

The drive wheels, in this case it's the front.

Actually, neither. Park locks the transmission, thus locking ONE wheel, since the Camry has an open differential. Jack the car up, and the wheels will turn quite readily with the car in Park.

The reason that it matters is that you can't trust Park to hold when jacking the car up on the rear - you need to chock the wheels to keep the car from moving. You can also move a Camry on its own 3 wheels, even in Park, if one of the fronts is on a dolly.

When in park, one wheel will not rotate if the wheel on the opposite side is prevented from rotating (i.e.; the opposite wheel is still on the ground). Lift that opposite side wheel, and the one you tried to turn will turn quite easily (assuming you don't have a sticking set of brakes on either wheel that are holding the brake disc from turning). The opposite wheel will rotate in the opposite direction (turn one wheel as if to move the car forward, the opposite wheel will rotate in a direction as if to move the car backwards).

Same would be true on a rear wheel drive vehicle when at the back wheels. Its a function of how the differential of the driven wheels works (just as Frodo65 stated).
