well i'm waiting on a complete swap kit from gabe (trd4life) as we speak. so in this thread i'll post pics and blabla about my swap! (btw i'm swapping an automatic v6 1994 camry)
sooooooo lets post pics of what i have bought/made so far....
in preparation of the swap i cleaned my engine bay
got my findanza flywheel in! fidanza part number # 130881 for those interested (1mzfe)
speed source brass shift cable bushings
and my custom made resistor bank (3x10ohm 25w) to fool the auto ecu into thinking the shift solenoid are still connected
Very cool! Can't wait to see how this goes. You might wanna put some insulation on the exposed wires going into the resistors there, IMO.

^ Touche, mate. Do you have a car domain page? I'm curious to see more info about your car. Mods you've done, etc.

maybe...maybe... thought i planned on beginning going turbo, thats why i have a 255lph in the car but the swap kit (including clutch and flywheel) costed way more than i planned (shipping was the price of my clutch lol) sooo i'm kinda short on car mod budget... i even have supra injectors in a box that i bought from gabe...
awwwww F**k i had setup a nice cardomain page and an error occured and i lost it all DAMNIT@!@!$#%@
Too Funny, until I enlarged the picture I was scratching my head about that orange and chrome thing. . . Alarm siren?
Along the way I notice; your power steering fluid looks low and someone hi-jacked my front engine hook! I never even noticed it was missing till now! lol
Cool Project, what trans you putting in (model ##)? You have all the dash parts yet? That's the part I hate about these swaps!
Keep us posted!

great...how much did the kit cost you from gabe? Do you need to buy anymore parts than what shipped by Gabe?

^ Gabe tends to be REALLY good about making sure EVERYTHING is included to do a swap. Even if he forgets something, Gabe wioll track it down and ship it to him. Pricing... I have no idea. I think Gabe prices based on a lot of factors... so there's no set price.

Well, it's only supposed to be temporarily installed, but I use it to hold my alternator cable in place. I had to buy the hook for my 1MZ (bought 2). I have a spare lying around with bolts. Brand new.
Cool swap. At least the 1994 ECUs throw the least OBDII codes.

i'm putting a E153 from a 2002 solara with 114000 miles on it if i remember correctly
and gabe is sending me a manual cluster so i can change mine out!

also i wanted to say that my car already came with a handbrake! i was surprised to see folks with a pedal parking brake!... though i have to put in new e-brake shoes as i destroyed them last winter drifting in my snowy little private road lol
oooh....that is a good looking transistor setup...I just wrapped mine up in electrical tape!
and looking forward to the results- also interested to see if you run into the same problems that I did since you probably also have a canadian car made in the US
