I'd open it but mine aint broke as of this post!
Unless you have a schematic, the odds of finding and fixing an issue are pretty limited. Parts that are preprogrammed are really not replaceable and if anything is potted in EPOXY actual repair and replacement is almost impossible! In short I'd say you're chances of being successful are pretty limited espcially when input logic is damaged. Some output logic, protection devices, and power supply components may be off the self parts but . . . . .
