Map Sensor
Hello all, I have a question and I hope its in the right forum area. I found my MAP sensor and I noticed it connected to the by a hose from the back of the sensor to the intake. I have a 1996 toyota camry and it a 4 cycl. I took off the part screwed into the intake and looked at it and it was black and very dirty. The hole was almost stoped up. I am trying to find out what that part is? and what does it do if anything. I notice it has to hoses comming off the back of it. One goes to the map sensor on the firwall and the other goes down on the engine somewhere. I was thinking about getting a new one but cant find the part anywhere. Can i just clean it real good and still use it? I would appreciat any help in this area thanks...ameruss
