4th Generation 2001 Supercharged Gallery Series Camry UPDATED W/PICS

Hey guys,

Been doing quite a bit of stuff to the car recently, figured I would share the updates with you all. My car is a 2001 Camry Gallery Edition. Fully loaded with everything including traction control, moon roof, and damn near every other option EXCEPT for leather. Wish I had it! The car Currently has 36,400 miles on it as of yesterday. Here is a list of the mods that I have already done to it:

TRD Supercharger w/stock pullly
Injen Intake
Jet Performance Throttle Body Spacer
Magnecore plug wires
E3 Diamond Fire plugs
Fuel line/filter mod
Cat Back exhaust w/Magnaflow Muffler
TRD Oil Fill Cap
TRD Radiator Cap
TRD Strut Tie Bar
Whiteline F&R sway bars
Stop Tech F&R cross drilled/vented rotors
Ceramic brake pads
18x7.5 Kyowa Wheels
Yokohama Tires
In Dash Navigation, DVD, MP3, Ipod, blah blah blah.

Here is a list of the most recent mods that I have done to it:

TRD Springs
TRD Struts
NST Engineering lightened crankshaft pully
TRD Boost Gauge (plumbed into the throttle body spacer)
Autometer Solar single gauge pod modified for the Camry

I have to say, the struts and springs are a night and day difference! Of course the ride is a bit stiffer, but around town it really isn't that bad. The handling is insane for a 4 door passenger car. Taking huge sweepers at 90-100 mph the thing is rock solid. I was surprised at the difference the NST lightened crank pulley made. Throttle response and acceleration difference is very noticeable. I highly recommend these mods.

A HUGE thanks to Gabe and Greg for all the help! Couldn't have done any of this without their help. Greg really knows his stuff and is a hell of a funny guy too. If you are in the So Cal area and need help with installs or need info, he is definitely the guy to talk to. We even timed it, and he can swap out a front strut mount in 11 minutes and that includes closing the hood. Gabe of course you all know is THE source for cool parts. Thanks a lot guys, can't thank you enough for all the help. Will post up some pictures soon. I also came up with a few new names for the car now, instead of the "Gallery Series", it is now the "TRD Gallery Series". The other two names are still "The Gentleman's Sport Sedan" and "Japanese European Touring Car".

Next on the list of things to do:

Upgrade front brakes more, already have a lot of parts
Upgrade to 6lbs boost, already have the pulley, just need the injectors, fuel pump, and SAFC

Sorry for the crappy pics, just got a new computer and don't have Photoshop yet.

I have got to get it washed and then take new pics of it. Don't have any pics of it yet with the new suspension. Pics are coming soon!

This is BY FAR the NICEST gen 4.5 i've ever seen. If I owned one, this is the way i'd modify it. Great job man.

Well that is BY FAR the best compliment that I have gotten on my car!!!! Thanks a lot man, really appreciate that. Greg from solara guy keeps trying me to get the TRD lip kit and a manual trans for it, but I keep telling him "it's the gentlemans sport sedan" lol.

I REALLY want to put headers on it, but mine is a CA model with the pre-cats, plus I live in CA. Police around here have been cracking down on anything they can to generate money so it's nice having a car that is 100% smog legal (except for the throttle body spacer, but it's small). I just wish they made smog legal headers for these cars!

Thanks a lot Lynchburg, stoked on that compliment!

You're very welcome. If it was my car, I mightttttt consider the TRD lip kit. But it looks great as is. A 5-speed would be nice, but hey. I have noooo problem with the automatics.

keep it automatic and get coilovers- then when a friend/co-worker/whore takes a ride in yr car, instead of watching where you gear the car, just watch their tits bounce! - maybe you'll get lucky and one will pop out!! lol!

car looks dope too.

hahahaha, right on man! Thanks for the tip. Seen your car on solara guy before and have to say that looks sweet! Very tastefully done.

FYI for everyone, I wasn't saying that I don't like the TRD lip kits, I happen to think they look awesome. I just don't want that look for this car. My goal is to kind of keep it a sleeper. Aside from the wheels and the drilled/slotted rotors, it's tough to tell it's had work done to it. It's been a tough choice for me, believe me. I have almost bought the kit like 3 different times but I have to stick to my gut feeling.

I like the car A LOT as-is. But I'm a fan of the stock but well-kept and lightly modified look. Looks good bro, you've definitely got good taste and a damn nice car to drive!

Thanks man! Yeah, I completely agree with you as far as looks go. It's nice having it look the way it is. When I pick up a girl in it, they don't look at it and think "this guy has seen Fast and Furious too many times". They all have said "wow, you have a pretty nice car" so that works well. That was my whole goal with the car.

looks fantastic man, very clean yet sporty feel to it. my only advice would be to get that fuel pump on there asap. running lean for too long will cause headaches in the long run with knock sensors and O2 sensors. also...DEfINATLY get a tranny cooler.

Thanks! I spoke with both Gabe and Greg who hang on Solara Guy mainly (I'm sure you know them) and they both said I should be fine running stock boost since I added Jim's fuel line mod. I've put about 8K on it since the supercharger and haven't had one check engine light or any problem. Once I step up to more boost, I will add the pump, injectors, SAFC and a tune all at the same time. Tranny cooler for sure! i find myself starting to beat it up a little bit more after doing all the mods.

*BigBird, forgot to add that I think your Camry is SWEET looking! That looks like a hell of a lot of fun to drive and all the mods are tastefully done. Really like the wheels that you went with, subtle, yet trick looking. I am just not a fan of chrome wheels at all.

4th Generation

Ok, just ordered up the front sub frame connector from Ultra Racing, trying to find a place that will sell the rear ones. Saw some for sale on ebay the other day, but it looked like you could only buy them if you bought the rear sway bar with them. If that is the case, then I will probably buy the set and then sell the rear sway bar to someone on here.

Here is the next mods I have planned in order:

1 Ultra Racing Sub Frame connectors
2 Larger Brakes up front
3 SAFC Neo
4 Tranny Cooler
5 6lbs of boost with fuel pump and injectors

Thanks again for all the kind words and all the inspiration you guys are giving me. This sh*t is way too fun! Between my motorcycles, guns, and my Camry, I am surprised I still have money left over to buy food, lol.
