Here is a quote from another thread about P1765:

Quote:
Im having the usual DTC codes indicating the missing shift solenoids. I have been able to cancel all of them but P1765. This website:

http://www.enginemate.com/Toyota%20dtcs%20list.htm

describes the code as:

Linear Solenoid for Accumulator Pressure Control Circuit Malfunction

so I did some searching and reading it it looks like it is referencing solenoid number 4. For those of you with a wiring diagram for the camry/avalon/etc. number 4 solenoid connects to the SLN- and SLN+ pinouts on the ECU. In the service hints area it says that solenoid 4 where it connects to SLN+ needs to read between 11 and 15 ohms. So I set up resistors to handle that.

It didnt change anything. I figured it was the SLN connections from Chiltons manual. Under P1765, it states:

Defective Shift Solenoid Valve SLN, an open or a short in the shift solenoid valve SLN circuit or PCM malfunction

I believe that this code is only prevalent on 97 or later model cars.
