Loud knocking sound on maximum right turn

My Camry 94 LE makes loud knocking sounds when I take a right turn in the forward direction. The knocking sound comes from around the left driver wheel area.

When I am reversing in the same arc, gives the same kind of knocking sounds albeit a bit louder.

The above turns when less than the maximum (i.e. less than the 2 1/4 turns of the steering wheel), there is no sound.

What could the cause be?

It is probably your CV shaft. if not check to see if you are rubbing anything like the inner wheel well.

Wow you really got your money worth out that bearing Must have been really worn!

He could jack up the front, and grab the tire and shake it back and forward, and if its a bearing like yours, it'll definitely wiggle alot!

dude i had to take the bearings to get removed / installed took like 4 hours to just remove the BAD bearing.

i was almost sure it was a bad axle but was disappointed when the axles were installed ad the problem still persist

Yes, there is... DIY - Front wheel bearing R&R

But, like others have said, the odds are very high it's the CV joint on the driver's-side axle. The symptoms you describe are quite typical of that. So unless you've checked it out and are pretty sure the wheel bearing is bad, I'd recommend replacing the axle. Then, while the axle is out the bearing can be inspected much more thoroughly. Spin it by hand and feel for rough spots, stiff spots in its rotation, etc..
