Whee!!! 2.2 Power! Maybe:)

I generally baby my 97, but last night, I had 3 people plus luggage in the trunk. Never got on the interstate with that much weight before, and we all are of the bigger persuasion ( I leave this to your imagination).

Had to really "step on it", and found, to my surprise, I shifted out of 2nd gear (A140E) at close between 50-60 MPH pulling around 5K RPM, and still had lots of pull left, really strong! I was probably a little over 50% pedal. I really don't remember all the details, it happened so quickly that I was in a hurry to switch lanes, and get the RPM's back down, as I rarely exceed 2500K most of the time. Not bad for 167K on the 'ol girl!

That motor has a SWEEET note at high RPM, no pinging, rattling, just smoooth!

The more I drive her, the more I love it!

Incidentally, I got my Securikey+ key wet in the pool yesterday too. Had to bypass the alarm, and when I got home, I took it apart, sprayed the circuit board down really good with some QD Electronic Cleaner, and left it under my desk fan, it was good to go with a new battery this morning. Whew!

Take care, TN folks!
