Ok so ive picked up a really good deal on a set of wheels (175$). check it out:
heres the specs on this set:
16x8
staggered +0 +16
tires are way too bulky so im going with a 225 50 16. (the current tires im running on the ls400 rims)
with this set i can accomplish my "flush" look. fenders will be rolled for 40 each fender. but theres a problem, caliper clearance and bolt pattern is just a bit off. but with a combination of this problem for fitment, comes a conversion spacer. im looking to convert from 5x114 to 5x120.7 to fit these rims on with around 15mm on all four hubs for clearance.
see that? FLAT. no clearance whatsoever. but during the test fit i measured the space between the outer edge of the caliper to hub and its around 15 mm give or take.
if anyone can help me find some conversion spacers in those specs id greatly appreciate it. thnx.
Just my scents on this, but I think you're in $trouble$
Typical offsets are 34 to 38. Your at 0 and 16. You need a steel adapter as I'd never trust aluminum to adapt between the two patterns on anything less than 1" thick.
38mm - 16mm = 22mm (0.86")
It just doesn't seem like its worth it cause now you gotta buy expensive adapters so its just "not a deal IMO", but I guess that all depends how much you like the wheels.

I was about to say... there's NO WAY you're going to be able to easily run wheels with that low off an offset.

Not to mention you gotta knock out your old studs or cut them off so there's no turning back. I'd find wheels that fit there's plenty of good deals out there. . .

1) 1" spacer/adapter = 25mm .. you'll need 4 of these and 2 10mm spacers for the rear: 150+60 = $210
- now they're on the car, they'd probably be sticking out about 2.5"F and 2.75"R out.
2) Roll/pull the fenders 1.25" from the orginal starting point from the front and go 1.50" in the rears.
- ROLL FLAT FIRST then PULL. It gives more material under the fender to accommodate the pull.
- then FLARE the fenders out. $40/ea.= $160 for four + $6 touch up paint.= $166
3) You'll need Camber bolts.. these run $55/pair. .. you'll need all 4. $110
4) Tires: for 16" ..federal 595 are $81/ea in 205/40-16 total would be $324 + $40 mount and balance. $364
5) Custom spec alignment : $65
---
total would be: $915 + $175 = $1090
.. $1090- i dk dude, you know me- im usually down with whatevers clever.. but this IMHO, this not worth it. Those prices are crazy lowballed prices too. Good Luck!
Not worth it $$$ wise AND unsafe. SIX spacers?! No way in hell i'd run that on my car. Even if they're high quality stainless steel.

good luck.
thank you one to hate for some helpful information.
but in hawaii car scene you can almost get away with anything for a lower price. you just have to plan it out and be patient.
- camber bolts are already in the car.
- why would i need 2 extra sets of spacers in the rears?
- rolling it myself would be no problem. ive got time and patience to pull every fender myself.
-73sport im trying everything BUT typical.
ok i called my nearest jdm shop and they said they run for right under 2 bills on all 4.
i dont want any major camber to introduce camber wear on tires since it is a daily. i want the body shaped and pulled to accommodate the poke. my wheel gaps i think are large enough to reduce the amount of rubbing, depending on the tire size. and im not scared to stretch.
^ Tire calc dude. Play with sizes until you get it right. 195 would be closer.
2 spacers in the rear get the offest closer to what you'd want BUT it's NOT SAFE.

A) You'd need an extra pair of 10mm spacers in the rear to even out the track of the car. If you haven't noticed, on our fwd platforms- the front has a wider track than the rears.. if yr going at it this hard, you might as well space out the rears to be even with the fronts or wider.
- rolling it myself would be no problem. ive got time and patience to pull every fender myself.
A) Good to know! - when you do this, heat it up well and go at it in 8"-10" sections- remember to roll the fender lip FOLDED FLAT. It helps with the fenders' structure during highway speeds. - anyways, i'll tell you more on PM if you need it. But im pretty sure you got it.
- i dont want any major camber to introduce camber wear on tires since it is a daily.
A) Yr gonna be running negative offsets just with the adapter alone, im hoping that you don't need devil camber. a similar wheel to those ones are the ones that came off the Crown Victoria with a 5x114- check around yr local yards, you might score a set!
