Has anybody ever seen a gen 3 convertible camry? I just got mine back from my accident since it took me a while to get the money and I was thinking about it....just asking if anybody thinks its possible?

You're gonna RUIN you're body's structural integrity if you just red-neck chop the roof off. Otherwise, you'll need a lot of reinforcement down low to make up for the loss of rigidity. Long story short, buy a solara 'vert.

edit: This follows a big rule with cars: "If you have enough money, anything is possible."

Like the quote. I have a quite a bit of income at the moment. I was thinking if i put a 1.5 inch tubing like a roll cage would reinforce but instead make it go through out the body...I think if it was correctly done it might work?

It might. But I don't like running that maybe, kind of, sort of, might type of risk when dealing with something like this. I suppose IF you found a shop that has done this before, then you might be able to have them do it. DIY style? My first thought is HELL NO.

Hell no im not doing it myself. A couple of my friends own their own shops around town and do crazy shit like this. I was just thinking and was wondering if anybody else ever thought about it

EDIT: When I saw the title of this thread, it actually made me look twice in disbelief... I would just buy a convertible solara.
