2nd Generation 94 camry 5sfe no start problem

I have a 94 camry with the 5sfe motor I replaced the cylinder head and timing belt because the valves were falling apart. I put it together enough to start it just see if I had everything right. It stared right up and ran like a new car. I then continued to put everything else back together and during that time I had forgot to disconnect the battery so I ended up arching out the alternator wire and blowing the main power 100 amp fusible link. Since then I cannot get the car to run. It seems to have weak spark. It gets air, fuel and spark but the spark is yellow. I think it should be blue. I have tried replacing the coil, and igniter still having the same results. The only thing else I can think is maybe I fried the ECU. Upon testing the power to the coil I get 12 volts at the hot wire but the ground wire does not light a test light or test good for continuity. Im thinking a bad ground. Ill try a jumper wire direct from battery - to the ground wire for the dizzy. I just need some other input of where I can try to look next I have been driving myself crazy for 2 weeks over this car. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Well tried to hook up the ground to the coil to no avail. I am just totally stumped with this one.it almost makes me think the timing belt is on wrong. I did use the instructions from the 3sfe manual because i thought thats the engine I had at first, but i believe the timing sets up the same way on both, they are very similar motors and I had it running with it set the way I have it now.
