Guys, should I paint my new exhaust front pipe with high temp paint before installation? Any recommendation on paint?

I dont think you should, its not a part of the car that is seen regularly, and therefore should not need to be painted.

But its your car, and your money.

Not because of it is seen or not, but as a rust preventive measure. I want to protect it from rust by painting it (for example with Rustoleum Specialty High Heat Hunter Green Enamel).

I doubt it will rust if its high quality metal, if anything your flex pipe will go long before the front pipe rusts. But if you do paint it, remember, the key to a good paint job is good prep. That means sanding the pipe down thouroughly, and degreasing.

Ive botched many a paint jobs by not doing that.

I've used high heat enamel, it lasts about a year before it starts to burn off. But a quick spray fixes it up again. So it's not a total waste of time, but it certainly doesn't hold up for as long as I'd like.
