Replaced parking lamp bulb, but only works with turn signal

I hate to post a second time today, but I went to check something on my Camry a little bit ago and noticed something.

My front passenger side parking light has been out for a couple weeks (was involved in an accident 4 days after purchase and took 3 weeks to get it back) and I finally had a chance to purchase a new bulb and replace it yesterday.. I'm glad it was so simple compared to taking out the headlight assembly on most cars I have owned.

That being said, the turn signal now works great. The problem is that it isn't lit as a parking lamp. The driver side one works fine.. but the passenger side only functions as a turn signal and not as a parking lamp. It worked fine before the accident, too.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Fixed! As stated in the last post, the wiring was split (my guess is from the accident only 4 days after purchase, and was obviously not repaired as it should have been).. I took some wire cutters to it today and fixed it all up. Now all my lights work as they should!

the little terminal at the bottom might not be making enough of a contact. with your car off(lights to) u can use something to reach in and pull the tabs up a tad. same thing happened to me. but my turn signal didn't work. the light did.
it might b backwards too. if i'm not mistaken that can happen.

You used a dual filament bulb, right?

Parking lights are on the low-output filament; turn signals are on the high-output filament.

That's correct. I suppose I will have to check them out when my tools get home (they're in my Avalon, which isn't at home right now.. oops).

Turns out I had something thin enough to pry with.. the filaments both seemed fine. I tried replacing it with the second bulb that came with it just in case and had the same thing.. turn signal but no parking lamp. I'll try to get a better look at things in the daylight tomorrow.. push the wires up on the terminal there. If that fails, and I can, maybe pull them out and strip them a bit to establish a better connection. Didn't even know that was there.

Yeah, it's probably just a bad connection then.

Didn't notice this last night in the dark, but I am 99.9% sure I figured out the problem. It's not a problem at the terminal, but in the actual wiring.. looks like something that was likely damaged in the accident (since it worked prior to) and not repaired. There's supposed to be a clip to keep all that wiring in one place, but THAT is broken (which I knew).. and it seems that, as a result, the stuff covering the wires was split open and now there's a wire that's completely split. So that would be my guess.
