4th Generation Transmission & Differential Fluid

is Differential Fluid separated from transmission fluid on 5S_FE (camry 2002) engine?

when i checked my car, i saw one drain bolt for transmission and under the differential there was a bolt and another bolt on the side wall of differential.

i think they are separated.what do you think?

to fill the differential, i have to fill up below the side wall bolt,am i right?

Yes. Jack the car up on the drivers side securely, or drive onto wheel ramps. Remove the filler plug, then the drain plug, and drain. Put the drain plug back. Put the car back to level, and fill until fluid starts coming out. Tighten filler bolt, job done.

And yes they are separate units.
