So some say GEN4 short shifters do not fit on the GEN3 assembly... Well, it does

Ralco Gen4 Short Shifter p/n: 914938
* This is also the same for Gen1 Solara

I can be found on Ebay.com, but after some further searching I found it cheaper at coolcarpartsonline.com. (http://www.coolcarpartsonline.com/ra...-throw-shifter

Had it shipped to Canada in a week (standard shipping). I think it is free shipping with the lower 48.

I only know of one other person that has fitted the GEN4 Ralco Short Shifter into a GEN3 assembly... chronoti

During the install: *Notice I circled the linkage. That is because I was rubbing the metal. This metal needed to be dremeled a little bit so the linkage wouldn't rub.

This mod was very well worth it. If I had knew this was going to fit a long long time ago, I would have jumped on it. One thing I will need now is a smaller shift knob probably a ball type or skunk2 DC2 or EK9 type knob.

This new SS also fixed my loose shifter while in neutral. Now shifting into 1st - 5th gear is very tight, very firm. On top of SS I did also install the cable bushing kit and assembly bushing kit from speed-source.net:

1) Shifter Cable Bushing Kit

2) Shifter base / assembly bushing kit

I bet the shifter cable kit tightened that up for you. I have that as well and I love it.
