i really dont wanna spend any more money having someone install it, it comes with the wiring harness and the pocket so it all fits. is it simply take out the old radio plug in all the stuff into the new one and im good or are there other steps involved i should know about. thanks for the help

hey man, crutchfield gives u everything ..including vehicle specific installation guides. trust me, u will never buy any mobile electronics from nywhere else. they r AWESOME!
if u click that link, it says right on that page that install instructions are included free. (right above ad to cart)good luck

It may not be that easy. Doing it the "right" way we're talking about soldering and heat shrinking wires. If you want info on that, go cruise around the12volt.com or let me know. But you might be able to find a adapter harness online.
edit: I'm not sure if crutchfield sent out a complete harness or not. We'll see!

^ stick a flat head in the trim surrounding it, remove the wires from the cig lighter. MAGNETIZE YOUR SCREWDRIVER, and remove the 4 screws. Boom, it's out.

It's been a few years since I've purchased a head unit from Crutchfield, so it might've changed, but they've always included wiring harness adaptors. You just need to solder up the wires from the head unit's harness to the adaptor's, plug 'em in, and done! Easy peasy.

1992 Camry LE, V6 (3VZ-FE), ABS brakes, 330k miles, dark emerald pearl, owned since new.
1996 Avalon XLS, ABS brakes, moonroof, white, acquired w/ 139k miles, now at 261k.
2001 Yamaha FZ1, Ivan's jet kit, resprung all around, Ohlins in the rear, Race Tech cartridge emulators in the forks, 45k miles.
I can testify to this It's IMPOSSIBLE to get back a lost screw that just goes down the never ending black hole!!
Oh no, I got mine back. After removing the entire lower dash, center stack, and carpet for a alarm/remote start install.

thats what im worried about am i going to have to solder things that worries me ive done things like this before
It's not that hard! Great DIY videos are on youtube when it comes to solder and heat shrink.
