A140E Return Hose Question

I have picked up a Magnefine filter. Which of the two lines is the return line? If I am looking down at the hoses, there is one on the left, and one on the right. Please advise, and thank you.

check this thread:
any idea why tranny fluid becomes clear with age ?

I installed Magnefine on my '00 solara (5s-fe + A140E), there are pics in that thread. always double check which line is which, because you never know what toyota engineers altered on your exact model.

Mine was like that:

I installed Magnefine filter on cooler return line

Thanks for the answers, guys! Easy DIY project.

Incidentally, what is the hose size that is being used? I may have to replace both of mine, while I'm in there.

3/8'', you can get new bulk transmission oil cooler hose (reinforced) from Napa.
I wouldn't trust autozone's silicone hoses on this one.
