so how did u fabricate your intake bracket ?

i hate my intake. the filter knocks the frame when starting the engine and it knocks when i drive from stop and it knocks thru every damn gear shift (yes it is because i suck at driving my car. i just got my new clutch put in with the light flywheel and i totally suck at it).

so pretty much i wanna make a bracket to keep the filter from hitting the car. could yuu guys give me some ideas ? or if yuu happen to have pics, would yuu mind showing me some ?

thanks a lot,
d

btw its a 1mz

If your entire intake is a solid pipe short ram or CAI, that's the problem. You need a good amount of flex in the line. The engine moves A LOT under normal driving and would cause that knocking.

Why don't you cut a small bit out of the pipe itself? That way, it wont surely won't disrupt the air flow.

If you pushed the filter on too far, the pipe might be right up against the element itself.
