4th Generation Brake Question/ Update

Does anyone know for a fact if a 99 Camry has it's proportioning valve(PV) in the ABS unit or on the firewall?

I am not positive if the thing I called a PV in my video is in fact one or not. It might just be a safety thing used so that if one side goes out there is still another, or it might function as both things. Seeing as how only the rear lines are fed through it, I just sort of assumed it was. The other day my friend asked and I realized I wasn't positive.

I am going to ask at Toyota tomorrow when I pick some parts up, but just in case they are too busy or whatever I figured I'd ask here. I kind of remember finding a diagram of the brake system somewhere and it saying that the piece on the firewall was a PV.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a background - I got rid of the ABS pump and ran all new lines. I have one line coming from the master going to a tee and feeding into the two sides of what I think is the PV. If it is not a PV, I will have to run new lines and put in an adjustable one.

The motor is ready to go back in and I wanted to have the brakes finalized since it is much easier to work on them with it out. All I need is some header wrap, miscellaneous bolts, clamps, fittings, size/buy an alternator belt(URD crank pulley + AC is gone) and it is ready to go!

Hopefully tomorrow the motor will be in and I can start making the exhaust! It is going to be OBX headers/y-pipe to 2.5" straight pipe out to a 2.5" Dynomax Ultra-flo welded 6" round muffler.

The interior is all back apart, I decided to get rid of the blower and it's friend the gigantic black crap box that holds the heater core. All the airbag crap is gone as well.

Most of the car is sanded down, and I ripped out all the chrome around the window I have always hated. It allows the weather strip to flop around and shit though so that might have been a mistake, oh well. Sooner or later it will get some fancy Plexiglass anyway.

I will bring my camera to hopefully get some footage of what goes on tomorrow. We have a couple cars in the way of the lift, not to mention an Rx-7 on the thing with no suspension on it. I might not be able to do anything serious, we will see!

Sorry for writing a book, I am pretty excited. I leave in less than a week for a 1700 mile trip and the car I'm taking's motor is still sitting next to it chillin'. WIN!

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the PV is NOT in the ABS unit. I'm not 100% sure though. Have you tried calling the dealer?

I agree man. I was supposed to go pick up some parts today but never got around to it. I'll go and ask tomorrow. I am 99% positive it is, and I am going with it. If I'm wrong, I am only out a few brake lines and a few bottles of RBF600.

Got my car on the lift. All I need to do is find two 3/16 female 12 mm male normal flare fittings(master cylinder is 12mm), which is proving to be a bitch and a half. My friend told me he got his from a Lee auto, so I am heading on over there tomorrow.

Once the motor is in I have to make the exhaust, drop the tank so I can put in my new trailing arm(ex crashed the car a few years back and i had to drill out the bushing to get the spindle off, never got around to putting a new one on...The fucked up one has been through a handful of time attacks and time trials, it's pretty bad), put the interior together and I am ready to start it up! HOORAYY!

Decided to go and pick my stuff up. The piece on the firewall is definitely the PV, unlike most systems the ABS pump has nothing to do with it. Hooray for last minute doubts!
