Differernt air bags between 1997-2001?
Just wondering if anyone new if the driver side airbag is different from 1997-2001. Reason I ask is looking at them I'm noticing different mounts on the back of of some of the bags and wondering why that is?
I have a 1997 Camry that has the normal wear on the steering wheel. I went to the local salvage yard and pulled a mint condition one off a car that I thought was a 97. When I removed the air bad on mine I noticed an imideate difference. Their are 4 steal spokes that come from the center of the wheel and fork out to each side. Two on one side and 2 on the other. On the wheel on my care these go strait out and an angle on each side. On the wheel I bought then have a curve to them and looks like it takes a different air bag? Does anyone know if this was off a newer Camry than mine or why it would be like that?
My other question is it will bolt right on mine, can I just purchase a air bag off e-bay to fit that wheel and have it still work with my car's computer system?
