1992 camry v6 termostat change

alright guys so I tried to take out my thermostat yesterday and i just couldnt get to the 3 bolts im not sure what i should do if i should take out the alternator or what else i could do if anyone know's what would be the best way for me to get to it that would be good, (pics would be great) but tried for about 3 hours yesterday and just couldnt get my tools in there. thanks guys

well i tried that but thats for the 1mz-fe mine is 3vz-fe or w/e on that one it shows the thermostat to be on the driver side but on mine its on passenger side

that link is for the 1mz which has the t-stat on the other side.

Ive had success loosening the alternator to get the belt out of the way, then using a 12mm deep 1/4" socket to get to the nuts. theres also a hidden bolt/bracket under the alternator that holds the pipe in place.
