Someone with a 3rd gen 2.2L tell me..

What plugs into the rubber grommet on the backside of the airbox lid?

As of now I just have a rubber grommet sucking unfiltered air into the engine. What goes there?

can't find toyota part number... :-/

I have read many say [at least on CAI and/or SRI] it is not in fact needed...IDK, i am sure it isn't NEEDED, but I would prefer to run with it there as that would be something your ECM will want to know

IAT sensor, that would make sense. I could not find any dangling hoses or wires in the engine bay but I will have to check again. I know that on early 90's Nissan EFI with a MAF sensor, the IAT is for emissions and not for fuel trim.

Aha! went out and looked for an IAT sensor under the hood and found it dangling. Thanks for the quick reply.
