Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
^ It's 2 bolts that go thru it, 14mm IIRC, one where it rattles, and one near the strut mount. You can do polyurethane, but I'm not familiar with that side of things Yeah, looks pretty dark from the vid, whenever you can do it, no urgency
OEM should run you about 50$ from toyotapartsoutlet

i just replaced my front mount. all yuu have to do is get a big block of wood to put between a jack and the oil pan and keep the engine up so the engine doesn't fall when the mount is gone.
actually thats the lateral mount so i don't even think you have to jack up the engine to replace that one right ?

Actually, you don't even need to support the engine to remove that one! I've had it on and off to do some work without supporting the engine.

Did you ever power break it in gear? Snap a voodoo video of the motor leaping and you'll see why that mount is totally trashed! haha
Hell, I'm willing to bet they are all coming pretty close to the end of their life, that mount's plastic was the first one to go on my car... The other's followed pretty closely...

I think. I haven't gotten the chance to dig into this engine yet. I've been too busy with my gen 4's transmission problems! The transmission mount would be on the bottom of the transmission, on the opposite side of that dogbone mount.
There's a torque strut (again, I think) on the very front near the shifter cable. That can be made DIY (ASG14 did it..there's pictures somewhere)
As far as poly mounts...I personally don't think it's worth spending 150-200 on EACH mount and I'm sure you don't either.
They also increase vibrations in the cabin, but decrease wheel hop. Unless you're racing or turbo'd...I don't think it's worth it at all.
Just make ssuuuuuuurrrrrrrre you hold your foot on the foot brake! Then give it some throttle. Its why your intake hose is busted wide open and has tape on it!
Hardest part bout the front mount is its tight, so I hope you have some 1/2 drive ratchet, extensions. . .
Its 4 bolts/5bolts??? and pulling the bottom dust pan off. Its pretty easy once the bolts are cracked loose. Just use a jack, ample soft wood jack up the engine to spin the mount out. Comes out from the top. PS no need to pull the fan, (well at least I didn't, mines electric) tho.
