Canada JBL sound system lights

I have a 2001 Camry XLE with the JBL sound system - love it but; the lights on the radio/cd unit are sometimes on, sometimes off. If I tap the unit it will light up sometimes but seems to be very intermittent. How do I search for a loose connection?

you can do continuity testing, get a tool for this and just trace the suspected line...if there is a loose connection that currently is not supplying power, it will show on your tests, however if the loose connection is connected well when you are doing the tests, it won't...in that case maybe just try jiggling connections and have someone see if it does anything...HOPEFULLY this plus a visual inspection will be able to find it easily...also, look for frayed/split wires.
