Dome Light Bulb?

I'm new to cars, hell my first car is a 1997 Camry and I love modifying little things, and this is my next step. I want to take the dome light bulb out and put in a red one to match the radio and everything else in my car.

How easy is it to replace the bulb?

Is it just a pop in pop out sort of thing or does it require some tools?

Which red bulb do I have to get for my 1997 camry? I see different volts and I'm not sure.

Thank you so much.

Oh and if anyone has any other interior-like mods...let me know :O

Do an Ebay search for "Dome LED" you'll find what you want.

No there are different lengths and colours, but you should be able to find one that fits your car.

Right, that's what I'm trying to find out here lol, which length/volt(?) fits the 1997 Camry LE. I'll keep searching for info.

Also I'm not familiar with dome lights in the camry, how many 'led bulbs' does it take? I see people selling 2, 4, 8 etc. how many would I need just for now?

Should only need one and 3175 is the correct one.

Sylvania's bulb guide is your friend. Looks like a 3175 size will be okay for the dome light. Now you have to consider the ORIGINAL size of the bulb.

Make sure you have enough extra room for something bigger than that when your shopping around. I'd open the dome light up BEFORE I bought anything.

I'd suggest you get SMD leds rather than regular leds.

SMD's shine much brighter.

Right, I'll probably measure the original bulb before doing anything and look at the brighter ones now I know what I'm looking for (3175). I'm still wondering though, how do you replace it? Do you just pop it out, pop it in? Or are there safety precautions you have to take etc.?

Now, I search SMD... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Red-1...ts_Accessories are these the right ones?
