What is the procedure for checking ATF level?

Searched. Failed. Sorry...

'97 LE with the 4 cylinder.

Do I check it with the engine running, in park, nuetral, hot, cold, on Tuesday's after 6pm, what?

kj, I put that in the radiator thread. Anyway, Get the engine warm and at operating temperature, go slowly throught the gears one at a time then back up. Do that a couple of times. Then check your fluid. The dipstick should have a reading of cold and hot. you want to make sure you are at the hot when doing it the way i described.
