Different types of Toyota Red Long Life Coolant?

At the stealership getting parts for my radiator job, the parts guy said that some newer Yota's have a new "100k mile" formulation of coolant. I have a gallon extra I got and didn't use but plan to keep because I have the '97, my daughter has an '02 LE, and the wife has an '05 Rav4. The question is ... can the coolant I have be used in the Rav4 or does it need the newest stuff he's talking about? TIA!

That new formulation is probably "Toyota Pink". It's pink, is super long life so the jug says, is premixed, and I think don't mix with Toyota Red. Open the rad cap and take a peek, or look at the coolant tank.

Note that the pink only comes pre-mixed. That's common for a "lifetime" fluid. It doesn't need to changed during service, only the lost amount replaced. It should only be topped off with premix, never water, since you won't be able to restore the concentration to the proper level (actually a bit more than 50/50).

I purchased a '94 recently and the radiator needs to be replaced soon. It currently has green coolant in it. Should I get the Toyota "red" when I install the new radiatior? If so, how to I get the remaining "green" out of the block (4cyl)?

So is it worth it for me to completely change out the "green" and go "red"?

Pretty much everything '05 and after is going to Super Long Life. For those who are doing a complete radiator change and flush, technically you can put in the SLL, but remember, since its premixed, you'll need more coolant, but IMO its overkill.

I have an '04 Camry that takes Long Life, an '05 Camry would take SLL, and even though I could and have access to SLL that most don't, I'd stick with the Long Life and not go out of my way to put in SLL.
