gen 3 camry speaker options

i have a 1996 4cyl 5s-fe and i want to install aftermarket speakers to go with my new head unit.

1. what size are the speakers in the front door and rear deck in my car? i want to get something that will fit perfectly

2. what do i have to know in terms of what is off limits with my new speakers becuase my head unit says 14 W RMS x4

You'll need speaker adapters for the 6 x 9 if you don't want to drill into your rear deck. Also any aftermarket speakers will most likely be okay for your head unit. Just make sure the RMS rating for it is higher than 14w or exactly 14w.

I think it would be pretty hard to find aftermarket speakers less than 14 watts rms. A lot of 6x9's come with generic adapters, would those do the trick?

Personally I don't like pioneer speakers. Their quality has really gone down hill. I would go infinity or even kenwood before pioneer. Infinity's will run you a little more, but the sound and quality are great.
