3rd Generation Random (old school): 1992 Camry V6 XLE road test (Motor Week)

> this video is from when the gen 3 first came out.

I really, really like the gen 3. It was way ahead of its time for sure. I was particularly impressed with the 68db reading @ 60 MPH and the 111ft stopping distance for the V6 equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes and ABS. That beats a lot of cars even today!

If the weather holds up I think I'll detail my mom's gen 3.5. It's been three weeks I think since the last time

You've seen the ones for the SE V6 and ES300, right?

the review about the SE is depressing. they love the camry side of it, but rate the old boxy ugly maxima SE higher.

It's always fun looking back at these reviews. I dug up a comparison I remember reading in Car & Driver, where the Lexus ES300 was edged out of 2nd place by Chrysler 300M. The ES300 is highly desirable now, the Chrysler, you basically have to give them away.

Oh and the Acura TL took 1st place, big surprise C&D loves anything made by Honda.
