Are you looking to enter the field of custom aftermarket parts and make some?

The space constraints of the coil location, inside the distributor enclosure, make it unlikely that a higher performance coil would be produced. The original coil fails readily, likely do to the high heat, poor cooling and small size.

That doesn't mean there isn't/won't be a "high performance" one advertised, it's just not likely to actually generate higher voltage or more spark energy. But it will no doubt have a bright color, elaborate label and incredible claims.
