Fuel questions

ok guys two questions for ya, What is the size in gallons for the fuel tank on my '98? and what is the avg miles I can expect out of it? I can get close to 385 miles before needing to be filled (its on E and the light stays on) and it seems like a 17 gal capacity, am I right or filling up to soon?

The fuel tank capacity is 18-1/2 gallons. Your mileage depends on which engine your car has and how you drive it along with other factors.

when the tank empty light glows up you still have around 3 gallons of fuel left.
as above capacity is 18.5 gallons (US).

you MPG depends on your engine, load you carrying, terrain, traffic patterns and driving style

try calculating MPG by starting to take receipts from gas stations after every fill up. then divide driven miles since last refill by gallons used since last refill and you've got your MPG number

or you can sign up at e.g. ecomodders.com and hit their Garage to add a car and keep track of fuel consumption over there online wherever you need access to it from

that's what i do. formerly was using an Excel spreadsheet, but got tired of it.
