96 camry tire sizes

My 96 camry has size 195/70R14 tires on it now...will 215/70R14 fit ok or is that too wide?

Tire Rack has that size tire listed for a 96 Camry, and from my experience if they sell them, they'll fit.

Your speedometer will be off by 4.5% so if the speedo says 70mph you are really going 73.1 no biggie if you ask me. They should fit just fine. And since the speedo will be off so will the odometer and you will never get a true and accurate MPG number.

4.5% oversize is good for increasing mpg in the highways but not much for city driving. Check your brakes periodically as oversize tyres can wear the pads easily.
