haha, posted this yesterday but got NO replies. i really need to know how to get the spark wires off on a 5s-fe 1996 camry. i got the boots out of the valve cover fine, but i have no clue how to get the part off the distributor. its really annoying cuz this is the last step of ahuge tune-up. thank you very much for the help!!!

squeeze and pull. There should be little tabs that stick out a bit, squeeze on those and it should un-clamp them.

can someone post a vid or some pics of it? i tried and yanked as hard as i could and nothing..really frustrating

If you have new wires, look at them closely.

If not...why are you taking them off?

Come on ...this is so easy. I wish I'd known it prior to paying 2 different guys last year to take them off...only for the leaky valve cover gaskets to swell them up....

They pull right off. You need to unscrew the bolt to the distributer cap to TURN it so you can reach the other 2 wires. Dont just yank them, squeeze the tabs and then pull. ditto with the 1 wire going to the other part (not sure what its called).
