3sfe to 5sfe
i am replacing a worn 3-sfe engine in a st-195 caldina whats involved in converting to a 5sfe or would a 3s ge be a better option?

A 3s-fe from another st-195 is your BEST option. Or rebuild the one you have. For a 5s-fe you may be looking at redoing the ENTIRE wiring harness, custom engine mounts, etc. And besides, if you want a power build, go with a 3s-gte. Still, that will be some work putting it in.

If it's a Caldina, I prefer to go with the mighty 3SGE. But if you wan't driveability on city roads plus fuel efficiency, go with the -FE engines.

Yes you have to use the 5SFE ECU and loom.
