spareco rims?

I'm considering putting some new wheels on my 95 wagon but am a total noob and what width/offset will fit without mods. I'm guessing a 16x7 on a 205-55 should work?

i'm running the 4 banger and would like to make this a direct bolt on, these are the wheels i'm eye-balling. linky

should these bolt on without mods? I'm also considering the bronze version but don't know if that'll mate up to my tan paint

That's fine. 205/55R16 tyres are a good balance of handling and comfort IMO. I think the maximum offset that you can have is +45. It's better if you have a lower offset up to +35 - just for the looks.

For a 7 inch wide wheel? Maybe a TINY TINY bit. I'd try to stay in the low to high 30s.

im about to order these because they are +38, i wish i could mount them but cant so was hoping to get a little confidence here. im getting them in black 16x7 +38 offset with 205/55r Yokohama AVID ENVigors. should this fit without spacers?

sorry for being redundant, Thanks!

You said "without spacers". Are you trying to flush mount or something?

Here's a picture of my 8" for reference:

Now, I haven't mounted the tires or anything yet (should be this week), but I don't think that you'll have a problem with rubbing since your at the 7".

Not trying to whore out my pics, just giving you a reference point. My wagon sounds similar to yours ('96 5SFE).

EDIT:

Yeah, you'll should be fine with the 205 series. Once again, I'm assuming you asking these questions in regard to rubbing.
If not, then I guess I'm just confused! :P

yeah some totally concerned about rubbing, there's about 3/4 inch clearance from my stock 195/50 14 and the rear strut. I'm a total noob tho, thanks! looks like i should have no problems.

Yeah, you sound good from that.
Are you planning on going lower eventually by chance?

nah i plan on keeping it stock height, i actually use this car for everything including camping which sometimes involves going offroad.

I also didnt want the tires to stick out of the wheel wells but that doesnt appear to be an issue

Oh dude, if you're planning on keeping the factory "4x4 Stance" you aren't going to have any issues.
