I like the tint on all side windows to match... but I always get as dark as possible on the back glass. It kills the glare from cars coming up behind you at night and makes the other tint look a little darker during the day (which looks good!)
Eh, it doesn't look too bad to have the rears darker than the fronts. But yeah. Personally, I'd just do everything evenly.

I think it's really up to you, I have 5% on the back and 45% on the front and I think it looks great. When you get to the shop just ask them to show you all the %'s they have and just choose what you think looks best

I've always gotten full tint on my rear window and passenger windows, then 50% tint on driver's and front passenger's windows on all my rides. Looks perfectly fine, and never have had anything but compliments.

Same thing here in the end its what looks good on you car, and thats your personal judgement. When you have that you'll get compliments

I used to work at a Tint shop, and we had people mixing and matching all the time to stay legal. I don't work or live in Cali, so I'm not 100% familiar with their laws. But in MO, the legal limit is 35%, and behind the B-pillar, you can really do whatever you want.
I wanted to go 20% all the way around, but my boss (at the time) convinced me to keep it legal, just in case. So with that being said my front two windows are 35% and the rear 3 are 20%. Honestly, so much light comes in through the windshield that I can't tell the difference.
I hope I'm not thread-jacking, but here's a picture of my truck to give you an idea what that looks like (I still need to get my Camry tinted...).
I'm getting my tint re-done because it's bubbling and the shop says that the California law you can only put 70% on the front windows.
Should I get 70% on all windows to match or would it look funny to get 70% on the front windows and a darker shade on the back windows.
what do you think? Thoughts?
A few months ago I got pulled over for having front tints. I explained to the cop that my front tints are 35% and I had proof of it that it is legal. Then he went on and said that you can't have any tint on the front, but you can have it as dark as you want on the back 3 windows. I thought the cop was being a jerkoff just to write me a ticket. Then I went on the ca.gov site and found out that he was right, you can't have front tints at all.
So now my car looks retarded with 25% in the back and none on the front. Just wanted to share my experience with front tint that is all.
i'm 5% all the way around. i did it right :-P i live next to a police station. yea it sucked the first month or so cause i was sketchy driving around w/ my windows up but i just roll them atleast half way if not all the way down. i think it looks better since when i park it matches all the way around you know. i don't like the uneven tint jobs.
