Just bought a 96 Camry; need help finding head/tail lights

Just bought a 1996 Camry (V6, LE).

It has frosted head lights, marker lights bumper lights up front. I'm looking for smoked diamond cut lights. I've seen a bunch on eBay, but the marker lights have yellow.

I've seen pics on here of marker lights that don't have yellow, and I can't find them!! Help!

And tail lights... do they make LED tails for this car? Because I can't find them at ALLL!!! If not, what about tail light covers? I hate those, but I hate red tail lights.

Basically, I want my headlights and tail lights as dark as possible. That's what I'm used to (I've always had Silverados w/ smoked headlights and black tail lights).

Only way you can do all black headlights/ corners is to do a gen 3 conversion...this would require a grill...lots of people have done it...check the forum...

Only way to do black Tails is to get these and use the Nightshades Spray Tint and smoke them out...These are off a Gen3 too...shouldnt need any modding to install...check the forums

Then use these for the bumper and smoke them out with the same spray tint...

It will take some work on your end to get the look ur looking for but this will get you started...a lil spray tint and you'll be smoked in no time.....Hope this helps

Turn signals and corner lights are EASYYYY to find. Any they're are black DEPO headlights for the gen 3.5 camry (95-96). http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories DO NOT get the ones with HIDs included. You'll have MASSIVE glare and everyone on this site will want to put an axe in your lights.

Also note that the clear brake lights are illegal and look like crap too. There's no LED tails available anywhere for these cars. If you want to tint things.... VHT nightshades spray or tint flim is the way to go.

First off... THANK YOU!!! I was mainly going after the lighting up front first, then the tails second... and those DEPO headlights from JDM you linked me to are PERFECT!

Look again... carefully. These are different than the 1992-1994 (gen 3.0) headlights that jtex posted! (Notice the INSIDE corners.) You won't need ANY modifaction to run these. Same grille, same bumper.

IF you get those clear tails, be sure to put in some SUPER bright LED bulbs. I had a set of clear tails back in the day.... they'll look pink without LEDs.

Thanks, but I hate the yellow in the marker lights on those. I had seen all those on eBay (and other sites), then came on here and saw pics of smoed lights WITHOUT any yellow in the marker lights. That's what I'm talking about.

And yeah, definitely not doing the HIDs. I hate those things.

Didn't know they were illegal, so thanks on that. I guess it's not illegal if the car comes stock with clear (or 'non-red') tails?

Only reason y I pointed him to those was because he wanted black corners w/o orange on them...thats the only option is to go w/ the gen3s or just get clear gen 3.5 corners and spray tint those too...its up to you bro...

.... Just get the clear tails and tint them...best option...I have my stock tails tinted...see my signature...and I like it but I think I am going to still get the clear tails especially since I have a gen 3.5 but Im running a gen 3 SE tail panel and that goes best w/ the gen 3 tail lights...


Ultimately how you configure your lights is up to you...just make sure youre running all legal colored bulbs...thats all...

If you want to run the gen 3.0 style you'll need a gen 3.0 grille, gen 3.0 bumper, AND gen 3.0 turn signals. It's a bit of work for JUST corner lights. I'd just buy clear non-smoked corners and spray/tint those.

Well, it's illegal due to the lack of RED reflectors. Interesting article on a related thing: http://jalopnik.com/5650920/maryland...yline=true&s=i Pretty sure there's red reflectors else where on the rear of the car. IE- Lexus RX350.

Post up pics of your car when you get a chance to! We have plenty of "chit-chat" threads you can hop into.

edit: Almost forgot... you'll need to swap to a RED or BLACK gen 3.0 center panel if you want the contours of the clear lights to match up. They're a little different.

I thought it was only the grille not the bumper too...that sux...eventhough I was thinking about running the alero foggies anyways so it wouldnt suck too bad...hmm good info to know...

Yeah... the whole bumper has to be swapped or you'll have a gap under the grille.

Yeah, I'm going to step my Camry knowledge game up, considering I know next to nothing. I've had this car a couple weeks. Always been a Chevy guy before now. Just learned that I have a gen 3 today, after searching through the forum before posting this thread.

So I'm definitely not up on gen 3.5 front end parts.

that grille is a gen 3.5 grill and those are gen 3 lights...

What year is your car again...are you sure its a 96?

Gen 3 = 92 to 94

Gen 3.5 = 95 to 96
