Camry whistles on acceleration

My brothers camry has been doing this for awhile. I changed this throttle body gasket and isc gasket and there are no vacuum leaks in the inlet tube. I sprayed down all the vacuum ports trying to see if the idle would increase and nothing. So last thing is the intake manifold gasket is my guess.
Anyone have a write up on this and about how long it takes to change? It doesn't look fun.

Even with the car running under the hood if you blip the throttle you can hear a leak but can't pinpoint it.

Is it running well? Generally if you have a bad vacuum leak that you can hear, it will run like crap.

Could the pcv only whistle while on the gas? Here is the odd part, it runs perfect.

Have you checked its not the idler bearings/tensioner or a broken intake pipe or somewhere in the air filter?
Does it whistle only when moving or even while stationary?

idler bearing and tensioner was all replaced. I looked at the intake pipe and it all looks ok. I can't hear it when sitting still only while moving. The whistle sound that is. But when you blip the throttle and your head is under the hood you can hear a vacuum leak.
And the pcv valve turned out to suck ass last night. The rubber grommet cracked and fell in. So I had to take off the valve cover and get a few pieces out.
Btw the pcv is $13 from the dealer and the grommet was $7. A little pricey for these things.

If it's the same engine which I think it is, it's on the valve cover between spark plug wires 2 & 3.

That's from the dealer near you, who appears to be charging 150% of list for those parts. That's more than double you'd pay to sponsor Toyota of Newnan, which charges 70% of list.

OP: You need to help us help you. The car comes with a 4 or 6; you didn't tell us which he has.

Wow thats expensive from a dealer. I changed out my 15 year old PCV valve and grommet weeks ago for $5 in total. $tealerships are not notorious for nothing...ha ha

Im sorry I know bad joke...Did you check all of the vacuum hoses that run off the throttle body? I know on the 5s auto there are a lot of these little lines and if they arent new then I would start there...

Check all around the intake and plenum with carb cleaner. Use a length of hose to your ear as a stethoscope to locate the sound.

R&R the intake is a good bit of time & money for a guess. Logically, a leak there should be evident at idle, when the vacuum is higher. When you open the throttle, vacuum drops in the intake manifold, but increases in certain ports from the throttle body. I'd look at those connections & hose, all the way out to their other end. Which could be a blown diaphragm.
